Watching TV in my recliner and I want to have a snack. Used to drag out a TV tray to set my plate/bowl/bag on to have a snack. This tray is a perfect substitute for that purpose. It has hinged clamping bars on the bottom, spread them out and clamp it onto the arm of the chair. I found that I can set it a bit off center to the outside so it's not really in the way at all. It will hold plates, TV remotes, and a cup/glass if you're careful not to jar it. When done, it folds up and stores easily next to the chair out of the way. Really nice and useful tray.
